I Too Got Tagged, Now I’m It!

December 27th, 2006 by Vlad | Comments | Filed in Other (Fom Old Blog)

While I was aware of the game(s) like this one for some time now, to be honest I did not expected to be tagged. But guess what, I just got tagged by Jimmy.

Here are my (and my wife’s) goals for 2007.

  1. Have a child.

  2. At least double my earnings. (me only, my wife is doing quite well as it is)

  3. Move.

  4. Quit Smoking (me only, my wife does not smoke).

I have few more but I these are the most important ones.

I am going to tag Jeremy, Janet.

Making My Readers Famous: Yaro’s turn.

December 25th, 2006 by Vlad | Comments | Filed in Other (Fom Old Blog)

OK. I have to admit that when it comes to blogging certain things can be very addictive. My current addiction came about from reading an article Make Your Readers Famous and installing MyBlogLog tool on my website. Now that I see the faces of some of my visitors, I find myself spending a lot of time trying to find out who they are, what kind of blogs they have and so on… Well if nothing else this addiction will keep me busy for the next few days, until some other ideas wonder into my mind.

Anyways, it is Yaro Starak’s turn today, he visited my site a few days ago. Yaro (aka Blog Traffic King) is a young entrepreneur from Australia. If you are new into blogging, I highly recommend to subscribe to his newsletter. When Yaro strated Entrepreneur’s Journey in 2005, his blog as he says was “nothing”. Today his blog has over 1500 RSS (Real Simple Syndication) subscribers with about 1000 daily unique visitors. Yaro also runs SmallBusinessBranding.com and Blog Traffic School Forums.

The very first article that I read on Yaro’s Small Business Branding Blog about “vodka kissed by a diamond” an entertaining article about “product feedback” that may fire back at you.

I hope you will enjoy as much as I do reading and following Yaro’s websites.

Google Sitemap- Interesting Interview

December 23rd, 2006 by Vlad | Comments | Filed in Other (Fom Old Blog)

Just came across the interview with Vanessa Fox done by WebProneNews. Vanessa was answered list of questions regarding “Duplicate Content”, “Google Sitemaps” and “Google Page Rank”. You can watch the interview at PlusOne - Musings of a Marketer.

One thing that strucked me from this interview was her suggestion when it comes to links pointing towards your site and importance to have links pointing your way from the sites with the relevant content to that of your website.

More reasons to install Google Sitemaps Plugin on your WordPress powered site.

Web Hosting Affiliate Tip: Three Things Not To Do

December 23rd, 2006 by Vlad | Comments | Filed in Other (Fom Old Blog)

If you are a Commission Junction affiliate, chances are that sooner or later Web Hosting Affiliate programs will catch your attention. These programs are probably among the most lucrative ones and some will pay you as much as $150 per referral/sale. This is also true about Web Hosting providers that are not Commission Junction advertisers.

So there was a time when these programs caught my attention as well. After I have learned about the lucrative side of being Web Hosting affiliate I literally signed up for every Web Hosting affiliate program that was available at Commission Junction and then I added few more providers to my list that operate their affiliate programs independently. My intention was to create this super big web hosting review site that of course will generate tons of money. Unfortunately I have done it without making much research beside familiarizing myself with Terms and Conditions of each affiliate program. This was the biggest mistakes I have done so far as an affiliate. Here are what I consider three things I failed to do before promoting web-hosting providers. (more…)
