Akismet will eventually find itself in court. Just look at the E-mail spam blacklists. They are closing because lawsuits threatened their very existence. Surely Akismet will meet the same fate because it does not discriminate.

Those requesting removal from Akismet are being met with an E-mail response that states they are clearly not a blacklist for spam. Despite what they say, that is exactly what they are. And Akismet is moving onto bigger and better things the blogs. One can use Akismet on forums as well.. How sick

I have recently been using Akismet as well and I have experienced the same results. Friends that are definitely not spammers getting snagged by Akismet. These are good valid posts that add to the conversations, not just 3 or 4 word posts.

I would be interested in finding a better solution for WP.

Hi,

I have been using Akismet, before using this plugin i was having to delete hundred(s) of spam comments with my poor hands..

Now thanks to Akismet the trouble has been much easier, i am sure it can be much more difficult for you since you may be getting way more comments then ordinary blogs, i was getting like 40 spam comments daily, and rarely get real peoples comments… i only noticed once that it caught a real people comment as a spam, but that comment of his was also looking like a spam when i readed it.

I think Akismet is really good and helpful, but you can try to see if any other spam protectors can help you…

The latest version of Akismet is really good and improved.

Certainly you can find a better solution than that?

I’m not very familiar with worpress so i don’t know how to help much.
