Thanks fro stopping by! I just seen your profile on Blogger, me and my wife are from NJ as well! Welcome to my blog.

I also think that $200 was well worthed to give away. But you really do not need that much to run a contest.

Have one teeshirt with a logo of your website printed and give it away as a prize. It will not cost you more that $20.

I think you have to clearly define your goals when running a contest. One thing that I do regret about my contest is that I did not limit it to “links” only entries. I would say do it again and make sure to let me know so I can participate!

My blog is about one year old and I organized two contests so far. The first one was really lousy, and I got no entries, but I learned my lesson. The second one had 4 entries. Here I think my mistake was a too high entry barrier – another lesson learned. Now I’m a bit afraid to organize another one, but who knows, if I think it better beforehand, it might be better.
