Buying Blog Comments?
July 10, 2007 – 9:01 pmI am sure many of you have already hear about Buy Blog Comments:
BuyBlogComments.Com is the first of its kind. Finally you can purchase quality blog comments without the stress of finding someone to write the comments, or buying some high priced automated program. We specialize in selling blog comments for blackhatters who are looking for good quality backlinks. We have three different types of packages, you can either buy 100 blog comments, 500 blog comments, or 1000 blog comments at a time.
My opinion about this service is a simple one- do not get involved with these guys. As a blogger who has removed “nofollow” from the links in the comments of this blog, I am a little worried. But I see very simple solution. I am familiar with the current commentators on my blog. However I do not moderate the first time comments as long as they pass the scrutiny of Spam Karma. Implementing the moderation for the first time comments will not be much of a burden for me. It may prove a little more difficult for authors of more popular blogs.
It is clear that creators of the site will be targeting blogs with nofollow removed:
We try to not post comments on blogs with the nofollow tag on the sites. We have gathered a list of people who don’t support the nofollow tag, and some types of blogs that do not use the tag at all. So don’t worry, you will still be getting weight to your site.
My word of advise to those considering buying blog comments to also consider that many of no-nofollow blogs have implemented variety of plugins to block the spam from appearing on our website. Getting flagged by one blogger may prevent you from posting your comments on thousands of other blog.
Finally I have never had a opportunity to use the power of DBAI. So here it goes, to the owner and author of Buy Blog Comments:

Emory,
Thanks for stopping by. I think that in some cases paid comments can be 100% legit. However if the authors name reads "Best Cell Phone Deals" the comments better be darn good for me not to delete them.

I also think that it is the responsibility of the spamee blogger to exercise editorial control by disapproving or nofollowing such comments. But what if the comment actually makes a good previously unmade point and contributes to the value of the blog? It will probably remain.

I personally am not against selling or buying links. I am against promoting spam, and this operation does look like a spam to me.

Another flag for me is anchor text. If I now someone online well enough and I like them too, then I'll let it slide if they come in with a little anchor text to their site. In fct I might even encourage it.
I suspect that people who use this service will expect good anchor text too. IOW, I'd say to bloggers out there looking to avoid this kind of stuff to just watch what your commenters are saying , look at their sites, and their anchor text. If all 3 make you go hmmn, then just hit that old delete button. Well thats what I 'd do anyway.
