href="http://www.openx.org/">OpenX has been around for a while, you may remember them as Open Ads in the past. They have just recently introduced a line of new an exciting products which allow users to use OpenX ad management without downloading and installing the software on their own servers. I know they are working hard to bring in advertisers into their OpneX Market, which in the end will benefit publishers, or at least those who will decide to monetize their ad space with OpenX Market’s inventory.

<img

What a wonderful gesture.

I know some CEOs that could learn from you guys and start doing better job by just trying to be nice.

Thank you Affiliate Summit Social Media event in NYC, offered an opportunity to meet some of the finest in the industry: affiliates, merchants and developers.

During the event I ran into Oliver George of OpenX, and as we started our little chat I shared with Oliver that about a year ago I gave OpenX (it was still called OpenAds at the time) some consideration. However, I realized rather quickly that OpenAds, being an outstanding software, was a little over the top as far as my needs were concerned. During our chat Oliver mentioned that OpenX is about to roll out hosting solution that may benefit publishers like myself.

On October 20, they indeed announced OpenX Hosted Beta and OpenX Market Alpha. Not only allowing publishers who do not have time or resources to install OpenX on their own servers an excellent way to manage their ad inventory, but also giving an opportunity to make money through OpenX Market Alpha. I am not sure if I will ever use the OpenX Market, as far as I know it is optional. But it is possible to let the inventory from OpenX Market to truncate your other ads if OpenX has a better deal.

One of the problems I faced with OpenAds last year was that MySQL database (one that OpenX relied on) had swollen in two weeks to three times more of the disk space required to host my little blog. Even today, unless you are running your website(s) from a dedicated server, you should not ignore the OpneX hosted solution. The odds are that OpenX has more reliable servers than majority of us.

As you can tell from the name OpenX Hosted is still in the development stages, but you can ask to participate by filling out following form.Similar Posts:<ul

I never planned to make a dime with them and was quiet content with the simplicity they have offered as an ad management system. I even failed to to offer some extra buzz when the affiliate program was announced, although I have written three times about the website. I really think though that products like that deserve extra buzz, because they offer great solution to a common problem.

Ad Management was always huge problem for me. Although I feel more confident now if I need to modify the theme of my blog when I was a year ago. But no matter how confident you are, we all can make mistake even when working on the simplest of things. Even if that is only copying and pasting a piece of code into your template. When it comes to ads on your website, you need to have a solution that allows you to change ads quickly and efficiently, and without necessarily modifying your theme. ShowYourAdHere.com is such a solution.

Sell Your Web Real Estate. When I joined ShowYourAdHere.com, it was for the sole purpose of having centralized ad management system for all of my blogs and websites. My original intention was to use it for banners and ads for my affiliate programs. But since the option was there, I am offering some ad zones for sale. Last month I have made $25 with ShowYourAdHere and by far this was the most effortless money I have ever made online.

Refer advertisers to ShowYourAdHere and make 10% of every dollar spend. Finally we are at the last and probably the best features of ShowYourAdHere.com- their affiliate program. This is probably one of the most generous commissions out there. Not only will you get 10% of every advertising dollar spent, you will be getting that 10% as long as advertisers is in the system and continues to spend money. What does that mean in real dollars? If you were to refer and advertiser who would purchase all of my ad zones for one month you would make $10. And if that advertiser continued to stay with me for one year you would earn at least $120, or more if I were to raise the price for my ad zones. Mind you that many blogs in the ShowYourAdHere marketplace are still experimenting with their ad zones and are keeping the prices low. In my case, I will be raising prices gradually. So six moths from now to all of my ads are bringing me no less that $300-$600 per month. Again lets presume your have referred advertisers who collectively spend $600 per month advertising on my blog. You will be getting $60 every moth as long as these advertisers continue to buy ads. The good thing is that they can buy ads on any blog in marketplace and you will continue to be paid 10% on every dollar they spend.Similar Posts:<ul

When I initially saw the video below, I was very skeptical. However today I have created several ad zones that will feature pepperjameADS. I am blown away. I really have no idea how these ads will perform in terms of click through or conversions. But you can tell that a lot of thought into this feature at PepperJam Network. If some critics are still looking for the prove of innovation- pepperjamADS is one of those innovations. Yes I know, they just look like AdSense, AuctionAds and bunch of others…. But none of other major affiliate networks has this feature, at least I ma not aware of one. Again you will not be able to understand how much thought went into these ads unless you try them.

Here is a quick video that explains more about the pepperjamADS:<br

While all sorts of applications and widgets are popping up every day, many bloggers are still finding difficult to settle on one particular ad serving solution. I personally have tried almost everything from WordPress plugins to installing OpenAds on my server. While WordPress plugins came short of my expectations, OpendAds on the other hand is a little too complicated solution as far as an average bloggers is concerned.

ShowYourAdHere.com is Free Cross-Platform Solution

I specifically would like to underline the fact that Show Your Ad Here is or will soon become a true cross-platform ad management solution for bloggers and webmasters. I have tried the code both on my privately hosted WordPress and new Blogger (Blogspot). I am almost certain it is compatible with with TypePad. Since all you need is to place a snippet of a javascript code, your website may as well be hand coded in the notepad.

You Can Show Your Own Ads Or Sell Advertising Space

Depending on your needs you can use ShowYourAdsHere.com to serve your own ads- anything from privately sold ads to creatives and banners from your affiliate networks. Yes, I did say you can serve independently sold inventory. However there are several disadvantages to sell your own inventory: a) you need to host the banners b) you need to manage your own inventory, payments etc. c) advertisers can not use ShowYourAdHere.com to offer their feedback.

Selling Your Ads With ShowYourAdHere.com

If you decide to have your website listed in Show Your ad Here Marketplace then your each ad zone will be accompanied with a link to your listing:

It allows advertisers to view the options for the length of advertising and prices:

Selling your ads through their marketplace you will receive 75% of the cost of on a ad, while ShowYourAdHere.com keeps the other 25%. The payments are made instantly via PayPal. After the purchase is completed the ad is being displayed on your blog right away. Publishers however have full control over the ad and may remove an ad at a later time. Advertisers have to adhere to the guidelines, at risk of having their ad banners removed from the system without a refund.

ShowYourAdHere.com Is A Community Of Advertisers and Publishers

One of the features not available on other advertising networks is the ability to rate and provide feedback. This goes both ways, advertisers can rate publishers and wise versa. To underline this social aspect a publisher has an opportunity to place a widget on their website or blog which will show the latest visitors as well as placing an 125×125 ad next to the latest visitors:

Some Constructive Criticism.

I am sure Mark is being bombarded with feedback and suggestions. I still would like to address a few things that I believe may help advertisers. At this time there are no statistics about what kind of traffic each website in the marketplace receives. While there is no one proven way to provide accurate statistics, I think such information can useful in attracting potential advertisers. I have been experimenting with QuantCast.com lately and find their statistics to be fairly accurate. However, the websites need to be “quantified” in order for the statistics to be more accurate. Maybe a combination of statistics used on the top 100 Make Money Online Blogs and QuanCast.com can be used to give advertisers better idea of the traffic (both quantity and quality) of the websites listed in the Show Your Ad Here Marketplace.

Also the Geo-targeting feature can be improved. Right now you are offered to either show your ads around the world or in one particular country. Adding more flexibility and options to Geo-targeting can benefits both publishers and advertisers.

What Others Are Saying About ShowYourAdHere.com?

While first few days there were only few reviews of this new product. It looks like the buzz is beginning to spread:

Mark Wielgus Interview- the funder of ShowYourAdHere.com is being drilled about his new product.

Andrew Wee Interviews Mark On His Friday Podcast – this podcast it about an hour long but well worth listening.

Setting the Record Straight- side by side comparison of ShowYourAdHere.com and a service at OIOpublisher.com. I personally think two services are not similar at all. Also the review was written by the founder of OIOpublisher therefore this comparison lucks credibility as far as I am concerned, but you may find it interesting.Similar Posts:<ul
