Going PlugIM

July 13th, 2007 by Vlad | Filed under Other (Fom Old Blog).

I have been going back and forth in my engagement with PlugIM- a Digg-like social network. Few moths ago I have even tried to automatically submit stories to PlugIM by adding RSS feed to my account. I am not sure why I have discontinued using or even being engaged in PlugIM community. I think one of the factor was the results on Google Blog Search- Plugim always beat me there for my own posts, while my own blog was nowhere near the first page of the results. I guess my decision was based more on my ego rather than on practical aspects of using PlugIM.

Today I have taken another and somewhat deeper look into PlugIM and the results can be seen on every post of my blog as I have implemented PulgIM WordPress Plugin.

Here are some benefits of using PlugIM:

  • Links to your blog from PlugIM do not have “nofollow”.
  • Your blog gets more exposure to members of PlugIM community.
  • May bring more traffic - this one is only my guess, I have not experienced much traffic coming my way from PlugIM yet.
  • If you are AdSense user you may be able to ear more money. PlugIM allows you to enter your AdSense PID which will be used 50% for entries on PlugIM

Did I miss any?
