Google’s Directions From New York to London

Friend of mine just sent me this in the e-mail: Google’s Directions from New York to London. Pay attention to step 23.

UPDATE: It is good idea to print these directions if you are an US affiliate and plan to attend Affiliate Summit in London.

UPDATE: It appears that Google is no longer offering the “funny” direction. Thanks to a friend Google’s sense of humor was captured for the history:

Google are always trying to take shortcuts
What they should do is take the land route via Alaska
Funny thing is I have been on the roads in all 3 countries mentioned.

In the Dublin to NY directions, they redirect you through the Chunnel into France then across the pond. Now THAT would be a fun IronMan to watch.

I wonder if it was possible to get dirrections to South Pole if they would tell you to birng ski along the way.

I would not qualify this as “Artificial Inteligence”. It's a humor nothing else. I was initially wondering if it was Google's April's fool joke?
