iPhone and AT&T - A Bad Combination?

I was curious how long will it take for AT&T to screw things up. According to Gizmodo it did not take that long and at some AT&T stores customers were forced to buy extra accessories. Which of course was not the case if you bought your iPhone at Apple store.

I do not think there are many details on iPhone release in Europe and elsewhere in the world except that it will take place at the end of last quarter of 2007. If anything Apple will have an opportunity to learn from mistake. I wonder though how will they go about the phone service in EU?

I am some what fan of Apple but I completely despise AT&T based on my experience with their wireless service in the past. I would refuse the iPhone even if it was given to me for free just because of AT&T.

Yes I've heard that also.... I can't figure out what was Apple thinking, but AT&T is not the best choice.

I just heard that AT&T is offering certain customers free wifi spot access but not iphone users go figure?

I was so excited to get an iPhone, but the fact that it's only AT&T made me stop and wait. I'm sure I'll still eventually get one, but I just wish it wasn't stuck on the ridiculously slow EDGE network :(

I can still remember ATT wireless as my first provider. It is true that they are the worst, that was back in 1999. Ever since switching from their service to VZ, I have never looked back.

As for iPhone, there was an article on how VZ declined to be a service provider to them because Apple was asking for too much. But they managed to sign Cingular as the exclusive iPhone provider.
