New Amazon Context Link Are Almost Perfect
It has been a while since last time I logged into my Amazon associate account. I guess the lack of success with their associate program determines how often I actually check in to see what is happening. If it was not for Paranav post about New Amazon Context Links, I would not visit amazon soon. I have to agree with Paranav about Amazon stepping up a notch and may very well show that Google CPA can be competed with.
Here is an example of this link in action on one of my other websites:
Why almost perfect?
In the past I have experimented with similar scripts from Kontera, AdBrite and even Snap. These links behave unexpectedly and may frustrate your visitors. They ceased running it in October (or somewhere near there). It was always a "beta". They did make an announcement about pulling it but never gave a reason so I can only speculate why it was retired. It was the most successful Amazon Associates system I used and I've been thinking of building my own using REST because it was very successful for me.
