Technorati Favorite Exchange: Day 4

April 24, 2007 – 12:33 pm

As of publishing this post, my blog is 33 favorites away from entering the top 100 most favorited blogs. This was certainly an interesting online experiment. I am still not certain why did I decided to participate in it, particularly when I think about all the pink color all over the Technorati. Nevertheless I did enjoy it and besides having my blog added to the favorites by over 100 Technorati users (which I greatly appreciate), I have gained 9 additional incoming (I appreciate it even more) links which ranks my blog at 62,417:

For me the Technorati Favorites Exchange really picked up after April 20 and on average my blog was fvorited by 23 Technorati users a day. Which of course created a little of a problem, because more than just few of the Technorati members have claimed 4 or more blogs. Fortunately Andy’s Technorati OPML file trick helped me a lot. This trick of course came with a side effect. My own OPML file has over 1500 blogs in it. But it did saved me a lot of time. I am sure that in the future I will put this file to a good use. I do intend to clean it up a little. If you dare to use Andy’s trick, here is my own OPML file:

http://feeds.technorati.com/faves/vjsolutions?format=opml (Right Click to Save it On Your HD) - caution this file contains over 1500 blogs.

I don’t really care whether or not my blog ever enters the top 100. But during this experiment I have certainly discovered few new blogs to which I have subscribe via my RSS reader and/or e-mail. I suspect this experiment have gained me a subscriber or two as well.

Again if I have missed your blog by some chance, make sure to make me aware of that fact and leave your Technorati user name in the comments.
