Technorati Favorite Exchange Day X: Appearing and Disappearing
April 28, 2007 – 12:35 pmToday was the first day my blog have appeared on Technorati 100 most favorited blogs since participating in Dosh Dosh’s Technorati Favorite Exchange Experiment.
Earlier today my blog appeared in the 100th position just to disappear few minutes later:
As of this posting my blog is 97th and will probably disappear minutes from now from the list:
This experiment indeed had grabbed my attention. Now that more than 180 Technorati users have placed my blog among their favorite blogs, keeping up with the exchange consumes at least an hour a day of my time and I am still behind. If you have favorited my blog, I will eventually get to return the favor. But I am sure I will miss few blogs, so PLEASE let me know if I have missed you.
I think now I will make a prediction. The list of 100 most favorite blogs will change dramatically. I predict Dosh Dosh to be #1 in few short weeks followed by all the bloggers who have participated in the exchange. Many current leaders on the list may have very hard time even getting back on the list. Why? Well, many of them, though having their own blogs favorited by thousands of other users, have 0 (zero) blogs in their own favorites.

Thanks for stopping by. To me that list does matter more now than it did before. What really puzzled me is that people holding the top position had no blogs in their own favorite, hypocritical don't you think?
If nothing else I did come across many wonderful blogs to which I have subscribed.
I ironically it seams that your blog is among my favorites. I have to admit that I have not subscribed to your feed otherwise. If you would like to "un-exchange" let me know.

Unfixed top 100, ever changing top 100 won't attract people to view them because every minute, it will change. (just realized that now... ironically, I joined this technorati fave game)

I admit, I'm falling behind in my follow-up in this experiment. And, the #s are quickly changing...ya need a lot more to just get on the Top 100 list. Hmm...I know I have to reconsider structuring my time back to this project.

I really did not think I would like this experiment that much due to all "nofollows" all over Technorati. But it does feel good, I agree. Now it is a question of keeping my blog there.... :) .
It will probably disappear tomorrow. :)

Getting to be number one for Dosh Dosh might be a little difficult but it is a possibility. I do also agree that the entire Top 100 will be massively restructured.
Hopefully we'll see everyone in the experiment on the list, that would certainly be a sight to behold. :)
