It has been long overdue. I have been contemplating on changing thing around here so if you lucky you will catch my work in progress. This of course may be frustrating to some, so I apologize ahead for unusual things you may notice during next two days.
The beauty and the downfall of WordPress is that there are way to many themes to choose from. When I initially began using WordPress, all I looked for was whether or not a theme was pleasing to the eye. The rest did not bother me since I was ignorant to many things.
So I wen through several possibilities which theme to choose. I initially was inspired by Scott Jangro and some cool things he did with K2 theme. But I quickly realized that K2 is a little too much for me to handle, especially if I would want to modify it. So I settled on Cleaker 2.1 WordPress Theme, you can see it in action (with minimal modifications) at my Web Hosting Review Blog. I have to give credit to Sam and Cost Per News, who helped me to find the new theme. I think Sam changes themes every time there is a change in weather in South Carolina- I have seen some really good themes in action over at Cost Per News.
One outstanding feature of the Cleaker is it’s stylesheet. For the first time ever, I clearly understood what is responsible for what. In fact working with Cleaker, helped me understand style.css period! The reason is simple, the Cleaker’s stylesheet is clearly marked vs some other themes I worked in the past.
Now we just have to wait and see how badly I am going to mess things up. Coming out of the box Cleaker has some “gif” files use as the background, I will be stripping the theme down from any images as much as I can, this of course means that I am about to loose the “decapitated” gentlemen in my banner.
Hopefully by the end of the weekend the move to a new theme will be completed. Of course you are welcome to checkout the progress.
Looking forward to the change! Cleaker is a great theme.
One day I'll fine my perfect theme and stick with it… it's all about experimentation!

Lets hope I will not disappoint you…. I did like the theme when I first saw it on your blog. It is much faster from my previous one, and again I feel confident enough to play around with it. So let see what the result will be like.

I hate it when CSS is written for CSS geeks to understand and then ooh and ahh over how wonderful it is.
Once you find a theme you understand, then CSS becomes much easier.
Andy, this is the first time ever that I felt comfortable with css. I thin one thing that this theme has is that the developer has clearly marked portion of the theme. Once you take a look at it, you immediately understand it's purpose.

I don't know if you studied colors but you actually got stronger color references to the gadgets like bumpzee, blog catalog and mybloglog than to your website content. Maybe you should check that

Mario,
Thanks for the tip. I really did not have time to change the widgets colors yet. I will do it now.
