I NEED YOUR HELP:
I have noticed that after YouTube processes the video it dramatically decreases the quality of the video. Video for the local playback is excellent. I work with Windows Movie I think that is where the problem lies. Any what am I doing wrong?
The above video was recorded on Sony DCR-SR82.
I wish I could help you out with the issue you stated but I'm far from being a “techie.”
I think you did a great job with the video. It's not perfect but so few are. You got your point across and it's more personal than an article.
I felt the pain when you said “this is take 100” lol I just finished a 3-part video series for a product and each video took about 10 tries.

Odd…well I've never had that sort of Youtube problem…I've uploaded several video clips that didn't experience much of a distortion or loss of quality. I think I used some software called Ashampoo or something like that to shrink my video before sending it to Youtube…anyhow just passing by!

There are actually a few good Squidoo lenses on YouTube Video quality
For encoding one of the best free tools is http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/index.htm
Raymond,
I am using the MS Movie Maker to edit the footage, as it is saving a movie for the web affects the quality. After YouTube process it, the quality decreases even further.
Andy,
Thanks I think information there is good no matter where you choose to host your video.
If you noticed gentlemen, I went with blip.tv instead of blip. I really like what they hae to offer.
