For some reason, yesterday, my website was visited by an Internet user who was searching for “is Bluehost a scam”. I am not sure why it took place but since my blog is hosted by BlueHost, I would like to write a little about my experience with this host.
When I started my journey in affiliate marketing my first two websites, including this blog where hosted on Yahoo! Small Business Web Hosting. While I am still am very pleased with Yahoo! Web Hosting’s reliability, I have moved this website to Bluehost about a year ago simply because I was looking for a web hosting provider that would allow me to install WordPress via Fantasctico Script.
At the time of moving this website to Bluehost, they were offering me an opportunity to host 6 different domains in one account. Recent changes in their web hosting plan allow you to host unlimited domains in one account. As of today I have 7 different websites hosted by Bluehost and I am more than pleased with it’s performance. I still use Yahoo! Web Hosting for my websites as well, but not for WordPress powered websites.
However, there are some drawbacks should you decide to host variety of websites with the same provider. Since most of the providers now offer what is known as a “shared hosting”, it is very likely that all your websites will be hosted on the same server. I have noticed that when one of my websites was down, the other websites were down as well. Fortunately this happened only twice over the period of last year, a mounting to a total of about 2 hours of downtime.
In my experience Bluehost is definitely not a scam and I would recommend it to anyone.

Scott, come back I need your comment!!!! PLEASE!!!!
🙂
I'm trying, I'm trying.
OK, working now. What I was trying to say when technology got in the way…
We use bluehost for a few small sites. Questionable SEO, keeping them sequestered over there.
The only complaint that I can recall is that they would require positive id to get shell access. Never heard of anyone doing that before.
Otherwise, for the money, it's a good service.
Thanks Scott,
Sorry about the math plugin. Shell access and a rocket science go hand in hand for me…lol. But I agree the price is right.

They are not spam, I resonantly used their affiliate program as well and paid on time.
