A while ago in one of my previous articles I have mentioned that I had not enough data to judge on effectiveness of article marketing at EzineArticles. So far I have published 42 articles there and while it is still not that big of a number I would like to share with you some of the results I am getting so far. It would be of course more beneficial to show the results just on one single site, but those 42 articles where to promote about 6 websites so the data that I will share is aggregated from across all these sites.
As of today my 42 articles have been viewed 12,735 times, have been republished 113 times on other webistes/blogs and even received 11 votes.
I have also noticed an increase in how frequently search engines are refreshing indexed content of my websites. I am pleased in particular that Goggle is indexing new content from my websites every other day. Before it took at least a week for my new pages/posts to show up on Google. This may be due to the fact that I am publishing more articles on my websites as well. But I also think it may be due to the fact that there are more websites pointing to mine, even though the quality of those links may not be the best, but I guess in this case quantity matters as well.
It is hard to judge how much EzineArticles contributed to better my website’s standing in the search results, I am afraid it is more than I think. Unless it is a pure coincident that I receive about 35% more traffic via search engines comparing to the time before I started to publish my articles EzineArticles.
Now some facts about getting direct traffic from EzineArticles. As I mentioned before, I am collecting the data from 6 websites. During the last tree month my six websites received well over 500 visitors directly from EzineArticles.
While this data may not be impressive, when you think about pay per click advertising I have just saved at least $75 if my ads and campaigns would be optimized to only $0.15 cents per click. Some of the keywords I wrote to optimize my articles around would have be averaging about $2 per click in order to achieve one of the top nine positions in the sponsored search results, I may have saved well over $1000 in this case. While in the sponsored ad on Google you have only about 70 characters to pre-sell your product or services, EizneArticles offers you 250 words, for me it is a huge difference.
I can definitely say that my efforts were very successful, considering the fact that English is not my native language and the many times it took 3 times until an article passed the editorial review.
