UPDATE: DON NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY BEFORE YOU READ THIS POST.
Imagine if you can make money on every visitor to your website without need to buy anything or even click anything? That is exactly what Pay Per Play promises. A five second (I not sure if it meant literally) is played to your visitor and you get paid. When a friend of mine mentioned the product yesterday, I was a little skeptical to say the least. I still am not sure I would like the pay per play ads played on this blog, turning it effectively into “myspace” sort of pages where you are talked at weather you want it or not. However some webmasters may find a creative way to implement the product. I am going to give it a try on my other websites and see how it goes.
The website was launched on February 1st, and it appears to be still in a beta stage. If you like to be an early adapter you should check them out.
so every page or blog I got to will have an ad (lets assume) dont you think it will be very annoying? imagine every blog you visits that takes this opportunity has an audio and you listening to the same adverts over and over again
Ian,
As I mentioned in the post, it does have a potential to turn your website in collection of “myspace” sort of pages. I would never put the widget on my blog. However if you thin about a lightly bigger news website it can be very easily implemented without a major blow to the audience.
I am not quiet sure if an ad is played for each unique visitor. I would hope so. Otherwise it would be extremely annoying. The code also has a keyword argument. I suppose it for the purposes of selecting appropriate advertisement.
I will let it run on few of my other sites for a few days and then report back with the results.
Thanks for stopping by!

pass, can't stand this idea. I hate when things start making noise when I didn't ask them to.
Mark,
Thanks for stopping by. I think these guys are real “short” on advertisers. I have not heard a single ad on the website I installed. I would never install it here on this blog. But it's something new so I had to bring it up.
When it comes to audio video, I rather have some sort of control what- like play button.
There is more to the program though. I just got bunch of emails from them inviting to their “affiliate SEO” class…. SEO my know what. I will let it run for a few days and then see.

I've gotten probably 5-10 spam emails in the past few weeks on this, so it must have a killer affiliate program 🙂
It sounds like it could be a viable option for some niches, but like Mark, I can't stand visiting a site that starts talking to me without my permission.
It wouldn't be as big a deal, but we have a baby, who sleeps quite a bit. My speakers are usually turned up and as bad as it sounds, I'm usually so pissed after visiting a site that does this that I give them a thumbs down with SU and do everything else I can to let them know they pissed me off 🙂
Josh,
Thanks for stopping by and for your first comment on this new blog.
I am not sure what to think of this program. I am running it on one of the websites, but as you and Mark I am also concerned about it being annoying to my visitors.
I guess I will give it a week or two. So far I have not earned a penny, so much for making money on every visitor.
