I have recently received an interesting e-mail from a potential advertiser. One paragraph of that e-mail is bugging me:
I do not want to go through showyouradhere.com because I need to create a account over there. I do not have that much patience in me to create an account to know price structure and ad size before advertising estimation and ordering.
Why is it bugging me? I can’t really put the finger on it. But can it be that the author of the e-mail was not really serious in his offer? It is true that you will not see prices on ShowYourAdHere unless you register. But you would still need to register there if you decided to advertise on my website- since this is the only way you can advertise on my blog.
Advertise On My Blog For Less Than $1 per day- To Take Advantage Of This Offer You Must Purchase Advertising By March 22.
So there you go. You can advertise on my website for less than $1 per day. There are currently 9 ad zones on my blog and yes to advertise in any of these zones is less than $1 per day. Will you register at now?
I'm headed to affiliate summit in less than 24 hours so I'm packing etc. but when I get back I will make the prices visible.
However, you will still need to log in to purchase the ad. Without logging in there is no way to track your ad purchases, give you feedback, etc.
Also, it's much MORE work to set up an ad through email than it is to just login, pay, and upload 😉
Cheers,
Mark
Thanks Mark,
I think those who are serious in advertising will create an account.
Enjoy ASW08! Look forward to your updates.

I can't say much for the language it sounds like me half asleep and with a massive headache (*grins*). It is true that you will get a better conversion rate if you allow people to know the prices. I would say that your best bet would be an on site “squeeze page” that says what you get etc – and then passes you tot he sign up. That might work more effectively.
Also I've seen a lot of bloggers that give a breakdown of demographics of readers. I understand this works really well.
Matt,
I can't defend my language, not by your standards. 🙂
Mark is working really hard on this product. I think he will be adding new things as soon as he returns from Affiliate Summit.
The “squeezee page” is a good idea. Then maybe even and order form that takes you straight to PayPal would not be such a bad idea.
For now I will be using it as an ad management system. If I make something along they way, I will take it as an extra bonus.
