This is exactly what I am thinking every time one particular merchant’s links stop working and all my visitors lend on page with a following message:
Is this any better than Zappos sending your visitors way for a better deal? I think not.
But the main problem is communication. Commission Junction has never notified me that the merchant’s website was deactivated. And there is no way to contact merchant’s affiliate manager directly.
I have written about this merchant in the past. Yes, it happened once before, and after doing some research and contacting the company that registered the domain, they finally renewed their status with CJ. Although I have never heard in person from the affiliate manager.
BeddingStyle.com, to be frank I am sick and tired of the way your affiliate program is run. You want me to build a website, dedicate my time and money to promote your product just to make me look like a fool? I know I may not be the top affiliate you have, however my efforts accounted for $15,416.44 in sales last year earning me $1,233.31 in commissions. I can’t guess how many affiliates are were in your program, so you do the math on your own.
I am not giving up on your program, and have made every attempt to contact you. But neither do I want to waste my time and my website. I will be taking down your data feeds and your banners from my site, and would advise other affiliates to do the same. If you are just starting in affiliate marketing and things like that happen to you, my advise is to move and find another merchant. You deserve better!
