Not too many people are worried of servers crushing down from the “stumble effect”, but I got scarred yesterday when over 500 visitors came to my site in a span of 10 minutes. I guess it all depends who “stumbles” your posts. Thanks Andy! It did not continue but I think time will come that traffic from StumbleUpon can be as heavy as from Digg.

Congratulations. Do you have any additional stats on the traffic such as page views per visit and average visit length? I've never received a stumble of that size, but have enjoyed a handful of 200 visitor stumbles.

I had a weird stumble-apon the other day, and the traffic was intense for the whole day. Digg is the same, but I find this traffic never really make money.
The niche sites seem to make more money with Adsense.

You wrote some good content that other people appreciated.
One key with SU is that first person to stumble really should write a review, otherwise it gets a little messed up and no one is listed as having discovered it.
This actually happened with one of my posts you stumbled the other day, and I have had almost no traffic to it at all – interesting to see it happen though.
If you don't want to write something yourself, just highlight some text before you hit the stumble button.

You were scarred? Did they have knives? Most stumblers aren't so violent as to actually disfigure people.

I couldn't help but laugh outloud at this story. We should ALL be so lucky! haha! Congratulations!!!
We have had several times when both stumbleupon and digg have sent a mass of traffic our way and then other days it's quite slow..

Too funny. I posted to the BUMPzee thread before I clicked though and what I sad was that “Vlad the Affiliate” can throw some weight around over there too. At BlogStrokes.com the largest traffic source to date is Your Stumbles.
Dane
Dane I am working on some stuff to throw you some traffic still, I keep being sidetracked 😉

I just gotta figure out how to write something the stumblers like enough to stick around for more than 50 seconds. 😉

Yeah stumbleupon.com will be next BIG guy as DIGG. I become a member of Stumbleupon last moth and it rocks my blog. I think this would be great. Thanks Andy. Your the best.
