DataFeedFile is another website, similar to GoldenCan, that provides data feed solutions to affiliates. There is no charge for using their services, nevertheless most of the merchants participate on a “4th click” basis. What it means that a link for every forth lick produced from your website is being replace with their own affiliate links. It is important to keep in this in mind when running and comparing your reports, especially if you are using pay per click advertising to promote your website. I have used extensively this website and I would like to share with you what are the benefits of using their website.
Both GoldenCan and DataFeedFile is a good solution for affiliates that would like to create their own websites but do not have necessary programing skills to integrate large amounts of data into their websites. DataFeedFile actually has some solutions for advance users who would like to use XML data feeds for their websites. One of the great benefit of using DataFeedFile is that they update their data from participating merchants on a daily basis, and if you choose for example to download data as a CSV file, DataFeedFile sends you an e-mail notificatio every time data is updated. But I have no experience on using raw data files so I will share with you only about the “the shopping tools” that are require less than five minutes to install on your website.
On of the features called “Shopping Comparison” Tool of DataFeedFile stands out and is not yet available at GoldenCan. It allows you to create a “mini” shopping search engine that allows users to compare price of a particular product across several different merchants. I am currently working an a post/tutorial on how to create this kind of search engine.
In my opinion, what sets this program apart from the competition is the fact it provides an actual service to the visitor. The comparison shopping engine will grow in usefulness as the ammount of merchants grow.

Hi John,
Thanks for stopping buy. I really like the way you have implemeted the DataFeedFile feeds. Do you mind if I use your site as an example in one of my future articles?
Great Job!
Sounds great of course you can use my site. Thanks for your kind words. I have updated the site quite a few times to get the look right. Thanks
You did a great job! I have been using DataFeedFile in the past but unfortunately I have had mixed feelings in regards to PPC advertising due to so called 4th click merchants. Do you use PPC for your site or just organic search?

For the most part do not use PPC when using the dff tools and the 4th click does stop me. My hopes are that more sponsored merchants join dff which would help cover the cost of DFF doing business thus getting rid of the 4th click.
But I will do some minor PPC during the holiday season for certain keyword phrases that rank well. Last year the big one for me was “Digital Picture Frame”
I can point out that when you use the dff tools it gives you true data when trying to discover keyword phrases. Basically the DFF pages get indexed then see what search referrers do well. There are so many potential keywords from all the different XML feeds. You can use that “live data” to develop niche sites or deep linking within your site. This method has worked well although I haven't bee keeping up on it.

John,
I was going to ask you whether or not you used XML feed.
I myself have limited programing ability, so I was happy with php code, but from what I see on your site you can actually be more cretive with XML.
I agree with you on the fact that not many merhcnats are looking into sites like DataFeedFile, but then there is ShareASale, many merchants there provide feeds.
I whish though that more CJ merchants would join DataFeedFile.
John, would you like to wrtie an article as a guest author on my blog? I think some of my readers can benefit from your advise. Do you have a blog by any chance?

Actually Im using the php script on my pages like you I'm not much for programming. I decided to use site design to make the script look unique.
I would love to write an article for your site and I do run a blog although it hasnt been updated lately. http://blog.masternerd.com
What do you think a good topic would be for the article?
