Since the time when on of my posts was noticed and referred to by Chris Knight from EzineArticles I have decided to change a little the strategy when it comes to writing articles. I said to myself that I should dedicate more time a write a quality article. Today is one week since I have made this decision, coincidently this morning I have received, as probably many others, a coffee cup with a beautiful EzineArticles logo on it.
You see, in the past my strategy was quantity. I would pick up, what I considered, popular topics and write about it, write a lot about it. And to be honest most of the time the topics did not correspond to either my interests nor was I knowledgeable about few topics either.
Since choosing to put quality as my primary goal, I am not longer able to submit few articles a day. If I submit one, I am happy. But what I noticed that although the topics I chose now may not be the most popular ones, my articles seams to be republished more often. Maybe I am mistaken, but it looks like there is very small demand in my articles. I am saying this because over past week, two of my articles were published by some what high ranking website. Also there is noticeable increase of traffic to the website with the links to it in the “resource box”. This traffic is mostly from search engines, but I tend to believe it has to do with high quality back links I have earned by using EzineArticles.
I also believe that I am not that far off in saying that if you want to get high quality links as a result of the effort you put into your articles, provide high quality content. Why would you expect your not so high quality article to earn you a high quality link?
