I never thought that reviewing some one else’s blog can present a challenge. In fact I was excited to receive first ever request via PPP Direct. While I accepted it without any hesitation, I did overestimate yet again my ability to write something of substance. Especially when faced with a work of another fellow blogger in the same niche. Inevitably I was compelled to compare his writing to that of my own, which is not an easy task especially when I begin to realized that on way to many occasions I have written things that do not really belong on here nor will they benefit anyone.
It is my pleasure to present my readers with Jamdo a Marketing Blog by Rob Wood. I have made an attempt to approached this review as “TOTAL newbie” to marketing and making money on the internet. I did not know what to expect reading Rob’s blog. Will it be another of those countless blogs promising the key to “overnight success” or can I learn a thing or two. I was pleasantly surprised. In fact I have learned something from every single posts I have read so far. It may be impossible to analyze eve everything Rob has written since November of 2005, but here is the summary of some of the best posts I found on his blog.
NoFollow For Linkns In Comments– I was very pleased to find out that Rob supports the “No NoFollow” movement. Many bloggers, as Rob admits, do not realize that blogging platforms such as WordPress, Blogger and others attribute “nofollow” to all outgoing links in the comments. Rob, I would really love to see you join No Nofollow Community of Bloggers over at BumpZee. In fact, there is also an Affiliate Marketing Community as well there, should you be interested.
Content Blogs vs Product Blogs– in this post you will find few ideas on how to structure your blog without annoying your readers with “product posts”.
10 Free Tools for the Serious Blogger– great article that summarizes essential tools you may need in your journey in online marketing. I have been using some of the tools myself for quiet sometime.
There is one suggestion that I have for Rob in regards to his blog. I found it beneficial to offer links to related posts on my site in what is known as template for single post. This can be accomplished by either Related Posts Plugin or UTW Plugin. In my experience this will help to better interlink the content within your blog improving a little so called “on site SEO”, but also many visitors like to check out what has been written on a related subject by the same blogger.
Thanks for writing up that review, Vlad!
I will certainly check out those plugins you mention as a potential addition to Jamdo so check back in the coming weeks!
Thanks again.
Rob
My pleasure. I am not sure which plugin would work better with your “product posts” I am afraid though that these products posts may not get all the google juice they can from the rest of your website.
