If you are not familiar with Snap, it is a search engine that produces search results with large snapshot of each end every site. Recently they have lunched a product called Snap Preview Anywhere. Whit a small HTML code from Snap, now you can offer your visitors previews of website sthat have an outgoing link from your page.
I also noticed that Snap preview does not replace the outgoing link and it seams that their previews are taken from the exact (landing) page. This can be great tool for affiliate sites that contain reviews on products and services. Also it seams that they will have more success than Alexa thumbnail services, for which webmasters have to pay. I am looking forward to use this great service on my websites as well.
There is a great article on TechCrunch regarding this new service, where Michael Arrignton mentioned that “big partners” (I am guessing he means sites with high volume of traffic) are able to negotiate with Snap and even earn some money via the search box. But you can opt out from showing the search box with the previews on your site during the process of installing the HTML code.
