It even rhymes better this way! Can you imagine?
There is no feeling worse than that of knowing that I may have misled my readers and/or people who have read my firs post about Pay Per Play.
I signed up to the program with an open mind, hoping to see an innovated product. However after running their script on my website for only two or three days and even referring some one else to their program, I took down their code and have requested to cancel my account immediately.
So what is my grief with Pay Per Play?
First of all, very misleading promotional materials:
Publishers (website owners) will earn revenue on 100% of their traffic… no clicks necessary!
While the code was placed on one of my least trafficked websites it still managed to produce 250+ unique visitors. And guess what? Only three ads were played (although I can’t attest to that fact) which earned me a whooping $0.01. So much of monetizing 100% of your traffic.
But the biggest disappointment is the fact how they report my website’s statistics to a person above me in the referral chain. While I was referred by a friend of mine and I don’t particularly care what he sees in his reports from Pay Per Click. I happened to refer one person so far to their network, and I have no idea who that person is. However, Pay Per Play provides me with rather detailed statistics about that persons website. Don’t get me wrong, I would not mind to know how many people signed up to their program using my affiliate link. But I really think giving me statistics one which page the code is installed is not necessary at all.
So today I have decided to contact the support to question them about my findings. Unfortunately there is no “contact us” page on their website and an e-mail for the support team is buried deep withing the website. Not even a link to some sort of support ticket system from the inside of your affiliate account. So instead of sending them and e-mail with questions I sent them with a request to cancel my account immediately.
If you come my post trying to find out more information about the company my advise is: Stay Away From Pay Per Play. It does rhymes well, doe it not?
