I am not sure who was the first to introduced me to the idea of reciprocating when it comes to technocratic favorites so I am going to give credit to both blogs: Niche Marketing by Andy Beard and Dosh Dosh. Initially I was very skeptical about it. Just think about it. The more bloggers participate in this what I call “Technorati Favorites Race” the tougher will it be to get on the list of top 100 and then there will be of course ongoing competition to remain on that list, specially for the places 90 and down. I guess as with many other things in the blogosphere it is important to get started early on. At the time when Maki wrote the article about Technocrati Experiment, your needed only 115 people to have your blog favorited by. Now that number stands at 120148(latest) and is most likely to increase when this “race” picks up.
So how far behind am I? About 100. But two days ago my blog was favorited only by 4 people. As of today 22 Technocrati users have added my blog to their favorites:
I think that the following message in my sidebar has something to do with it:
So if the numbers continue to grow with this pace I am only about 10-12 days from being included among 100 most favorited blogs on Technocrati, if of course the number needed to get in will hold at 120148(latest).
So at this time I would like to thank everyone who added my blog. If you have added my blog to your Technocrati favorites but I have missed to add yours tell me so in the comments.
Again if you add my blog to your technocrati favorites, I will return the favor. I have noticed that few people had more than just one blog, I usually add all your blogs to my technocrati favorites.
Please do not leave links here in the post. Please leave a message if you just recently added my blog to your favorites. As soon as I see, via Technocrati, that you have added my blog to your favorites, I will reciprocate. I am still checking the Technorati but it has become increasignly difficult because since posting this post more than 50 members had favorited my blog. If I have missed your blog by any chance please let me know in the comments. (Updated April 24)

Hi . . just wanted to warn you that if you have more than 100 outgoing links on your site, you might get flagged by google as a link farm and get banned from the search results!
Gary,
Thanks for your advise. I am writing the blog not for Google but for the people 😉
@Gary,
Besides every single link in this post is to relevant post about “Technorati Favorite Exchange”.
Good job on the jump in rank. It’s not over yet so I think your rank will get another boost. Good luck!
The promised land seems to be getting closer if nothing else. I kicked off last week at 4 favourited and am now at 119.
Don't forget that the links are moving up too. When you hit 100, you qualify as a B-list blogger and can get your little badge from http://www.kineda.com. Just achieved that this morning!
Did you see the mybloglog equivalent to the technorati favourites? My post on that is at http://www.foreignperspectives.com/a-new-varian… . Hasn't, so far, picked up the speed of the faves but I'm sure it will in due course.
Now, the big question, is: has it been a financially succesful exercise for anyone yet?
