Ok, I may be slowest person in the world, but after six months of active blogging I still do not understand/see what is so great about Technorati? I noticed that my blog is hanging in lower 90,000 when it comes to incoming links from other blogs. I am not sure what good the button you see in this post is, but I am just taking on an idea from a prominent blogger and will begin to reciprocate in this regard. So it is simple, you add my blog to your Technorati favorites I will add yours. What will this do? I have no idea. But when I notice something I will let every one know. If you know what is the benefit of being ” please enlighten me.

I only know technorati as blog search. Update us if there is a point in getting a favorited status.
I haven't even claimed but 1 or two blogs there so favoriting is over my head.
Mark, I have one claimed as well there was an option to claim my feed from co.comments but technorati seems to completely ignore co.comments as a real blog.
co.comments is for girls vlad, commentful.com is the way to go!

Well some of the reasoning I included in my analysis of the Google BlogSearch patent.
Rather than linking directly to it, and because lots of other blogs have been talking about it recently, I will just link through to a Google Blogsearch result for Google Blogsearch
Google Blogsearch
I nofollowed the link to Google
Sometimes people use a space between blog and search – I don't rank for both
There has been some discussion with the developers of co.Comments on my blog, they are looking into Technorati problems because they spent a lot of time on the integration.
I am going to give Commentful a try as well
@Andy
The google search did not bring your article so here is the link for thos interested:

I am also giving a try to commentful, as we speak actually.
Maybe they are doing personal search on blogsearch as well now?
I still see that result in the top position.
@Andy,
I was just thinking that. For me it does not show. I was all the way down to page 10. It showed however in the first place when I added andybeard.eu to the search query.

@Mark,
I have just started using commentful. Here is my initial impression. I don't see it has an option of automatically adding the URL to be tracked. Also the tracking consist only from tracking the number of comments, where at co.comments the actuall comment content is being recorded. I am not sure, I probably shoudl give it a few days try to see wich one I prefer. Maybe comdination of both can be usefull?
“automatically adding the URL to be tracked.”
no, you need to right click the page
“the tracking consist only from tracking the number of comments”
Yeah I see that also.
I never could get co.comments to work for me so that's why I'm using commentful
“I never could get co.comments “
I meant co.mments, and I hate their name 😉
