The most recent update of WordPress proved to be more difficult than I anticipated. In the past I have been using Lowstream (with some major modifications) theme for my blog, and after updating the WordPress the older version of the theme proved to non-functional. I was at the point of completely switching to “default” theme of WordPress which seams to be working well all the time. Fortunately Lowstream have updated their version of the theme. This time around I have chosen to make least possible modifications to save me some time in the future. This actually proved to be a good choice since so far it looks that my site is much faster while I still was able to retain the feel and look of my website from few days ago.
I guess my major goal with this recent update was to preserve the feel an look of my website. Do you think I have done it?
I do think you have preserved the old look, Vlad.
Thank you Scott,
For some one as handicapped in programing as I am, it was quite a challenge. This current theme actually works well. There are a lot of little things inside of the theme that allow to add/change features in a blink of an eye, like the position of the sidebar…. I do hope to get the BumpZee widget working soon.
I'm surprised my first comment went through. I got a bunch of errors, just fyi. If I get them on this comment I'll email it to you.
Scott,
I am getting the same error, I am not sure what is wrong. I am wondering if it has to do with “permissions” for a particular directory or maybe there is a conflict with a certain plugin.
I have deactivated a plugin called “Subscribe to Comments” let see if this changes anything.
It was the “Subscribe to Comments” plugin that gave me the error. Fixed! Thanks Scott!
