I started to ask myself this question about tree days ago, when the traffic to my blog quadrupled. It was not difficult to answer this question and maybe you already know who he is. But I was really puzzled by the increase of traffic to my site, in particular from one referring URL which was from the website StubleUpon. It turns out that after my recent post about Hittail, the “mastermind” behind the widget, Mike Levin has noticed my article and submitted my website to StumbleUpon.
While I am beginning to benefit from Hittail as it is, the increase in traffic associated with my blog being posted at StumbleUpon is not going down. Initially I thought it will be something like getting your article on front page of Digg, when the increase of traffic can actually shut your website down, but then returns to the normal amount of traffic. While it is not the case with the recent increase of traffic, I am not even close to reach the limit of monthly bandwidth, it sure feels great to be noticed by a “giant”.
So I guess I need to thank Mike for noticing my site!

In the long run affiliate internet marketing can turn into a profitable business. In the start there are a few things that need to be worked on; these are generally not found in the hosting guide. Ecommerce web design is one of them; the website should give an image of sophistication and grace. This can help attract users. The ip phones to interact with potential customers is also very essential. Most wireless internet service providers also provide the ip phone service. This can turn out to be very economical as well. Finally an offsite backup is vital to avoid critical data loss.
Flattery will get you everywhere. Don't worry, the Stumble Upon traffic will gradually diminish. I find it's got a two or three day effect. And it's still worth getting Dugg when you can. As for me, I'm just a person heading up an awesome team who is compulsive about checking for HitTail mentions in Technorati. Thanks again for the mention. We really liked your quote.
Mike, thanks again for stopping by. I really enjoy the Hittail. Great product and I whish to have found it much sooner. I own several blogs and some times I felt I was spreading myself to thin. But Hittail and it's “suggestion” keep me going. What a great tool! And thanks again for StumbleUpon thing!

No problem. You got me to thinking about why I promote Digg and Stumble Upon so much, even though HitTail is my thing. So, I went ahead and made a blog post about HitTail Vs. Digg as methods for driving traffic.

Mike, I just read the article. I actually took another look at Hittail after reading Darren's article. While it is good to get traffic from Digg, I believe that Hittail's suggestions offer long term benefit in SEO. I market some of my website's on EzineArticles.com and recently I began to use keywords suggested by Hittail in links poiting to my sites.
